What I do

Shaping the future of learning

I am currently Head of Future of Learning at the Landesmedien-zentrum Baden-Württemberg.

Our mission is to not only envision the future of learning but to help educators develop the necessary mindset and skillset to be agents of the future of learning and to help shape a livable future.

Facilitating

I spent 11 years teaching at several high schools. Today, I mainly work with adults on their lifelong learning journeys.

Working with young people continues to show me how essential self-efficacy is — the belief that you can make a difference.

Designing

At the Landesmedienzentrum, I am responsible for several innovation projects,

including minnit’ (a survey and participation app), BLOCKALOT (a game-based learning environment), and a project dedicated to creating future-oriented learning environments.

Creating concepts

I use Design Thinking to develop creative, human-centered solutions to complex challenges.

For me, Design Thinking is not just a method — it is part of the mindset of a future-oriented person.

Consulting

I work as a consultant on future-oriented learning for a wide range of clients.

My focus is always on people — using storytelling to unlock creativity that leads toward a livable future.

Inspiring

As a freelancer, I am a keynote speaker, give talks and offer workshops on future-oriented learning.

What matters to me is opening up positive visions of the future and showing audiences that we will shape it together.

Writing & editing

I am part of the editorial teams of the journals "ON. Learning in the Digital World" and "Weiterbildung".

In 2025, I published the "Future:Guide Education – Learning to Shape the Future" with The Future:Project.

Through my writing and editorial work, I address the issues I believe are essential for a livable future — and I give voices from my network a platform to reach a wider audience.

Living with confidence in the future

I have always approached the future with openness and a willingness to challenge the status quo. As a Trekkie, I believe in a future in which we grow together through trust.

From a humanistic perspective, I explore future questions, observe emerging developments, and think backwards from possible futures into the present — not out of fascination with technology, but out of responsibility.

For me, the future is not a destination, but a path full of possibilities.
